Using the built-in 12ASM schedule.
Works best on programs with a clear "Time AM/PM — Time AM/PM, Room" line per session and a "Time AM/PM Speaker Name" line per talk — this covers most conference-platform exports (ASN Events, Eventsforce and similar). Titles/speakers you can always fix by hand afterwards; it doesn't pick up speaker organisations since most programs don't list them in the schedule text. Fetching a PDF by link only works when the site hosting it allows other sites to read it (not all do) — if it fails, download the PDF first and use "Import a program" above instead.
Skip the import step for every attendee entirely: host the schedule as one JSON file, then
put ?program=(link to that file) on the end of this
app's own address, and share that as a QR code on the printed program or a link in the event
app. Anyone who opens it gets that exact schedule immediately, nothing to tap.
Where to host the file matters. The reliable way is uploading it into the same site
this app is deployed on (e.g. a /events/ folder next to
this app's own files) and linking to it there — same-site files always work. Hosting it on a
different website only works if that site explicitly allows other sites to read its
files (called CORS), which many hosts don't do by default and isn't something adjustable from
here — tested and confirmed working same-site, unreliable cross-site.

The first time you tap "Scan text" on a photo, the app downloads a small offline text-reading engine (about 5 MB) so it can work without sending your photo anywhere. After that first download it works completely offline.
This app is provided as-is with no warranty. You are responsible for backing up your own notes.
